Abstract: Spearophysa salsula（Pall.）DC.belonging to species of Sphaerophysa DC in family Leguminosae is widely grown forage of desert in northwestern China.Whether the using of its toxicity in medicine,or the feeding as forage have important value.Here,the plant morphology,the chemical composition of extracts in different plant parts,the research on pharmacognosy,and as nutritional forage were reviewed.
