Abstract: Datong is one of the major potato producing areas in the Province,The growing area of potato is about 20% of Shanxi province＇s.But in most of the hilly area,low and unstable yield problem has not been well solved.The reason is poor production conditions,the extensive mode of production,slowly increased productivity.This paper analyses the advantages and problems of potato production in Datong,show the key technology of Increaseing potato yield in the region,from the select varieties,fertilizer management,seed treatment,standardized production,pest control and harvesting.in order to guide the production and increase farmers＇ economic efficiency.
