Abstract: The potato is the largest crop of Ulanqab. The sowing area is stable 270 000hm^2 throughout the year and 90%potatoes are planted in dry land. Potato yield increase is slow because of drought. It influences improvement of potato yield and benefit. The potato film cultivation benefits, problems and other aspects was analyzed in order to find beneficial measures for development of dry farming film potato in Ulanqab.
