Abstract: To meet the technical requirement of potato production in large scale in arid and semi-arid areas of Midwest Inner Mongolia, Integrated critical techniques of high quality virus-free seed potatoes selection,matched agricultural machinery and agronomy, cost-saving and synergism fertilizing technology, water-saving irrigation, integrated pest management and propagation and extension of virus-free seed potatoes were demonstrated extended in large area. The average yield of demonstration area is 49 896.0 kg/hm2, whose benefit increased more than 78.30%, and the utilization efficiency of water resource was improved significantly, meanwhile, the production cost were decreased and the production efficiency was improved.
