Abstract: The production records of 21 569 Arbas cashmere goats during from 1997 to 2007 were collected, the variance analysis was made by using GLM program of SARS 9.0 software, and multiple comparison of main effect was carried out with Duncan methods to determinate effects of nine non-genetic factors (tested year, sex, age, mother age, birth type, birth month, weaned age, birth order and field) on 5 traits of producing cashmere (cashmere yield, cashmere fineness, body weight, cashmere and length). The results indicated that there were significant effects of the tested year, field, age and mother age on the all traits of cashmere goats (P〈0.05). Except for cashmere fineness, the sex significantly affected the cashmere yield and body weight after producing cashmere (/9〈0.05), specifically it had markedly significant effects on cashmere thick and wool length(P〈O.01 ). The birth order had a significant effects on cashmere yield, wool length and early growth traits (P〈0.05); the birth type had a significant effect on degree of cashmere fineness and body weight after producing cashmere (P〉0.05); the birth month had a significant influences on cashmere yield(P〈0.05 ).
