Abstract: Cyan-foot white-feather chicken is a newly-bred chicken variety in recent years. In order to better utilize their excellent germplasm characteristics, other high -quality chickens were test -crossed with the cyan -foot white -feather chicken. The produced variety was expected to contain more fine characters of both parents and even superior characters. The heterosis would be accordingly utilized in production. The experimental results showed that the test cross between the cyan-foot white-feather chicken (female parent) and Chuandong black chicken (male parent) had the best economic characters. It would be complicated to explore its genetic effects of feather color after test cross. To study the genetic effects is of important significance for enriching the theory of genetics and breeding and guiding the breeding practice.
