Abstract: The study was aimed to investigate effects of feed additive at different supplement dosage on performance of New Zealand white rabbits. Forty-day-old healthy New Zealand white rabbits were assigned into four groups according to the sex. The trial period was 12 weeks. The rabbits in the control group were fed basal diet. Those in the group I, II and III were fed the basal diet added nutrient materials, basal diet added Chinese medicine additive, and basal diet added nutrient materials, Chinese medicine additive and enzyme preparation, respectively. Body weight, body length and chest measurement were determined at 3, 5 and 8 weeks. After 12 weeks trial, all rabbits' indexes of correlation were determined. Feed conversion efficiency and survival rate were calculated. The results showed that the performance indexes in the group Ill were significantly higher than that in the control group (P〈0.05), and they were higher than that in the group I and II (P 〉0.05). Therefore, the nutrient materials, Chinese medicine additive and enzyme preparation added in the basal diet have obvious promoting effects on performance of New Zealand white rabbits.
