Application of Italian Ryegrass in the Breeding of Meat Rabbit

Abstract: The effects of replacing part of meat rabbit′s feed with Italian ryegrass and wild grass on the weight gain, slaughter traits and meat quality of rabbits were studied. It was found after feeding 40 days that replacing 10%-50%concentrate feed with Italian ryegrass or wild grass had no significant effect on the weight gain of meat rabbits（P〉0.05）. The application of greenfeed improved the slaughter rate of meat rabbits, obviously reduced the fat content in rabbit meat and improved the quality of rabbit meat.
