Effects of Different Feeding Methods on the Production Performance and Fat Deposition of Tibet Chicken

Abstract: The effects of different feeding methods on the production performance and fat deposition of Tibet chicken were discussed. 120 healthy commercial chicken were selected and fed according to the conventional feeding and management regulations. And the chicken were divided into two groups,one of which was raised in cage and another in freedom,with five repetitions in each group and with 12 chicken in each repetition. The results showed that the feeding methods had significant effects on the body weight and daily weight gain of Tibet chicken. The body weight and daily weight gain of both male and female Tibet chicken in cage were significantly higher than randomly-rearing chicken(P0.05) . The intermuscular fat,subcutaneous fat,the percentage of abdominal fat,the content of intramuscular fat in cage-rearing chicken were significantly higher than that of randomly-raised chicken(P0.05).
