Abstract: The chicks could rely on absorption of yolk nutrients within 48 or 72 h after birth. But chicks had feeding behaviors after the birth shortly. In order to ensure the normal growth and development of chicks, the first feeding should be made after sufficient drinking 2 -3 h. It was important to select good feed for the fist feeding and master the correct feeding method for successful first feeding.
