Abstract: Mercury content in seaweed was determined by microwave digestion -hydride generation atom fluorescence spectrometry. The results showed that mercury content in seaweed was 19.46 μg/ kg and the recovery rate of mercury in the standard substance spinach was 102%-106%. The determination method was simple, rapid, with good linear correlation, lower detection limit, higher recovery and accurate determination results.
