Abstract: [Objective] The research aimed to study effects of sheep placental transfer factor (SPTF) on the contents of total protein(TP), albumin(ALB), superoxide dismutase (SOD),nitric oxide(NO) and hemoglobin(Hb) in the plasm of healthy rats, artificial wound model rats and young healthy hybrid canine. The effects of test drugs on nutritional situations of test animals were discussed to evaluate the clinic nutritional efficacy. [Method] 24 healthy rats and 16 young healthy hybrid canine were randomly divided into test group and control group. Rats in test group and young canine in test group were administrated with the test drug to detect the content changes of plasma TP,ALB and Hb before and after drug administration. 45 healthy rats after artificial wound modeling were divided into 3 groups (low-dose test group, medium-dose test group and control group). Rats in test groups were administrated with different dose of test drug. And the content changes of TP, ALB, SOD and NO in the plasma after operation 3, 7 and 14 days were determined. [Result]①After healthy rats were administrated with test drug, the contents of TP and ALB in the plasma of healthy rats in test group were significantly increased than that in control group(P〈0.05).②After healthy young hybrid canine were administrated with test drug three days, the content of TP and Hb in the plasma of healthy young hybrid canine in test group were extremely significantly increased than control group(P〈0.01), and ALB content was significantly increased(P〈0.05).③After artificial wound model rats were administrated with test drug, the contents of TP, ALB and NO in the plasma in test groups were increased after operation 3 days. After operation 7 days, the contents of TP, ALB and NO in the plasma were extremely significantly increased in medium-dose test group (P〈0.01) and significantly increased in low-dose test group (P〈0.05). After operation 14 days, the contents of TP and ALB in the plasma in test groups recovered to the level before operation, NO content in the plasma in test groups increased, but there was no significant difference (P〉0.05). Compared with control group, SOD content in the plasma in test groups increased after operation 3 and 7 days, but there was no significant difference (P〉0.05). After operation 14 days, SOD content in the plasma in test groups increased and SOD content in medium-dose group was significantly increased(P〈0.05). [Conclusion] Sheep placental transfer factor could significantly improve the nutritional situations of healthy rats and healthy young hybrid canine, promote the wound recovery of rats after operation and the growth and development of young canine and enhance the disease resistance. And SPTF had the roles of improving the nutrition and enhancing the immunity.
