Research on Gayal and Its Protection and Utilization

Abstract: Gayal is the only semi-wild rare species in China. The research progress on the origin and germplasm characteristics (life habits, appearance and physical characteristics, physiological and biochemical indices and production performance)of gayal were reviewed. And the research advances on the genetic diversity of gayal and its protection and utilization were predicted.
