Abstract: Twenty-five rabbits were randomly divided into five groups (with 5 rabbits in each group ) : including saline water group [ 3 mL/(kg·BW ), by auricle vein injection ], 25% ethyl carbamate group [ 4 mL/(kg·BW ), by auricle vein injection ], 3% sodium pentobarbital group [ 1 mE/(kg· BW), by auricle vein injection ], Lumianning group [ 0.2 mL/(kg· BW), by auricle vein injection ] and Lumianning group [ 0.2 mL(kg· BW), by intramuscular injection ]. The anesthesia induction time of animals, anesthesia- maintaining time and the general situations (respiration and heart rate after surgical anaesthesia stage 0 and 0.5 h and revival time)in the surgical anaesthesia stage in the test period were observed. The results showed that the effect of Lumianning was better. The anesthesia-maintaining time of Lumianning by intramuscular injection was longer and the changes of respiration and heart rate of rabbits during anaesthesia stage were smaller, which indicated that the best anaesthesia method of rabbit was Lumianning by intramuscular injection with the dose of 0.2 mL/kg.
