Abstract: In this study, the effect of feeding of corn straw silage prepared with Panjiang No.7 and air-dried corn stalk on weight gain of fattening sheep under fully confined rearing condition was evaluated and compared. The results showed that under the same feeding and management condition, the average daily gain of individual sheep fed corn straw silage prepared with Panjiang No.7 was 213.44 g,which was 62.66 g higher than that fed air-dried corn stalk (150.78 g).During the feeding experiment, the average economic benefit for individual sheep fed corn straw silage prepared with Panjiang No.7 was 228.38 Yuan, which was increased by 73.62% compared to that fed air-dried corn stalk (131.54 Yuan),indicating an obvious improvement of feeding economic benefit.
