Diagnosis of Equine Rhinopneumonia and Comprehensive Prevention and Control Measures

Abstract: Equine rhinopneumonia is a highly contagious infectious disease in equine animals caused by equine herpesvirus type 1 and type 4 which usually cause horse respiratory diseases, miscarriage of pregnant horses and equine neurological diseases. This article introduces the distribution, hazard, etiology, epidemiology, clinical symptoms, pathological changes and diagnostic methods of equine rhinopneumonia, and summarizes the comprehensive prevention and control measures against this disease, in hoping to provide references for those who engage in related work.
