Insights from the Dutch Dairy Product Safety Supervision System for China

Abstract: The dairy industry is an important part of the animal husbandry industry, and the dairy product industry chain is one of the most complex food industry chains. Dairy product safety cannot be ignored and is a global issue. Through long-term practice, the Netherlands has established a relatively comprehensive dairy product safety supervision system. Based on this, this paper comprehensively analyzes the regulatory advantages of the Dutch dairy product industry chain from the development status and characteristics of the Dutch dairy industry and the food supervision system. Furthermore, it proposes development recommendations for the supervision of food safety in China′s dairy industry from three aspects: the quality of raw milk, regulatory authorities, and financial support, aiming to promote the high-quality development of dairy product safety supervision in China.
