Abstract: In the trial, histochemistry PAS-AB staining and quantitative image analysis were applied to determine the effect of different level of organic selenium on mucins of oviduct bulge site of adult Huainan Spotted chicken. The result showed that the mucins contain of oviduct bulge site in the group that were fed wi{h organic selenium of 0.20 mg/kg in their diet was different from that of control group （P〈 0.05 ） ; the group fed with diet containing organic selenium of 0.60 mg/kg was significantly different from that of the control （P 〈 0.01 ）, but there was no difference between the group fed with diet corltaining organic selenium of 1 mg/kg （P〉0.05）. Therefore, organic selenium could markedly take effect on mucins of oviduct bulge site of adult Huainan Spotted chicken.
