Abstract: Inner Mongolia is a main producing region of sheep in China.The sheep industry there has been well established and shows a good development trend.However,there are still many problems in sheep industry development,which include lack of excellent mutton sheep breeds,no large-scale and standardized mutton sheep production base,processing enterprises running under their production capacity,imperfect breeding improvement programs for mutton sheep,and lack of nutritional standards for mutton sheep.This paper presents ideas and measures to solve these problems.
