Abstract: Lactic acid bacteria are the main microorganism in silage. With the development of silage and the further research about beneficial microorganisms in the silage,it has been found that many physical functions of lactic acid bacteria are closely related to plasmid carried by them. The paper reviews the research progress in application of lactic acid additive in improving fermentation quality and aerobic stability as well as in plasmid extraction.
