Abstract: In order to understand the main brands, types, packaging forms and traceability information records in supermarkets in Rizhao of Shandong Province, the marketing actuality of the traceability food in 10 large and medium scaled supermarkets in urban of Rizhao was investigated in 2018. The results showed that there were 10 kinds and 45 brands of traceable food in supermarket in Rizhao, including 28 domestic brands and 17 imported brands. Infant formula milk powder, fruit, pure milk, rice, baby rice powder, yoghurt, tea, vegetables, soy products and oatmeal accounted for 40.00%, 20.00%, 8.89%, 8.89%, 8.89%, 4.44%, 2.22%, 2.22%, 2.22% and 2.22%, respectively, and the corresponding effective retrospective information scores were 66.67, 42.22, 47.50, 100, 47.50, 40.00, 0, 100, 100 and 40.00, respectively. The average score of the domestic brands was 65.71 and that of the imported brands was 49.41. The traceability information of the domestic brands was better than that of the imported brands. The packaging of traceable food was mainly made of hardcover, because the use of fine packaging helped facilitate the sale of traceable food. National policies, food safety affair, identification and maintenance of geographical indication products, and the attention of enterprises and consumers all play important roles in promoting the establishment of food traceability system.
