    This study aimed to assess the effect of Aronia melanocarpa on antioxidant capacity of liver and kidney in mice. A total of 16 mice were assigned into two groups: an experimental group (n =8) received a 3% Aronia melanocarpa solution for consecutive 8 weeks, and a control group (n=8) received a distilled water for the same time duration. The activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) as well as the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver and kidney of the mice in both experimental group and control group were determined. The results showed that compared with the control group, the experimental group had elevated activity of SOD in the liver tissue; the MDA content and GSH activity in kidney tissue of the experimental group were obviously reduced and increased compared to the control group, respectively. It was indicated that the Aronia melanocarpa had certain antioxidant activity.

    To evaluate the effects of different mediums on growth characteristics and oil accumulation of microalgae FACHB-1067, three different mediums, including BG11, BG11-N and SE, were used to culture microalgae FACHB-1067 under the conditions of 20 ℃, 2 084 lx light and 16 h∶16 h light-dark cycle. The bioaccumulation, specific growth rate, oil content and oil yield of microalgae FACHB-1067 in different mediums were investigated and compared by statistical method. The results showed that the specific growth rate of microalgae FACHB-1067 in SE medium was the fastest, which was 1.052/d; the ranking of the biomass accumulation in three mediums was SE (2.532 g/L) 〉BG11 (2.032 g/L) 〉BG11-N (1.916 g/L); the oil content and yield in BG11 medium were 28.64% and 1.628 mg/(L·d), respectively, which were significantly higher than those in BG11-N and SE medium (P〈0.05). In summary, SE medium showed better performance in specific growth rate and biomass accumulation, while BG11 medium showed better performance in oil content and oil yield.
    Effects of Application of Digested Pig Biogas Slurry on Growth Traits, Yield and Quality of Indica Hybrid Rice

    In order to promote the harmless treatment and resourceful utilization of manure in livestock and poultry farm, a field experiment was conducted to assess the effects of substitution of chemical fertilizers with digested pig biogas slurry on growth traits, yield and quality of indica hybrid rice. A total of ten experimental groups with different application amount of biogas slurry and containing varied nitrogen content, including N20% (N2 group), N40% (N4 group), N60% (N6 group), N80% (N8 group), N100% (N10 group), N120% (N12 group), N140% (N14 group), N160% (16 group), N180% (N18 group) and N200% (N20 group), were set in this study. Furthermore, a blank control group (CK) without application of nitrogen fertilizer and a conventional fertilizer control group (CF) were also included. The results showed that the CF and the biogas slurry application groups (N2-N20) had better performance in growth traits, yield and quality of indica hybrid rice compared to CK; while the plant height of the N2 and N4 groups were both significantly reduced compared with the CF (P〈0.05), no significant differences were observed between the other experimental groups and the CF (P〉0.05); there were no significant differences in effective panicle and tiller number between the biogas slurry application groups (N2-N20) and the CF (P〉0.05);while the yield of brown rice in biogas slurry application groups (N2-N20) exhibited an increasing tendency compared to the CF, no significant differences were found (P〉0.05). The straw yield of the biogas slurry application groups (N2-N20) generally displayed a linear increase compared to the CF, and a significant difference was observed in the N18 group (P〈0.05). Additionally, except for N2, N10 and N12 groups, the other biogas slurry application groups had significantly higher thousand seeds weight compared to the CF (P〈0.05); expectedly, the protein content of brown rice of the biogas slurry application groups (N2-N20) showed a generally increasing trend, and significant differences were found both in the N18 and N20 groups (P〈0.05). Although the amylose content of brown rice of the biogas slurry application groups (N2-N20) displayed a certain decreasing trend compared to the CF, no significant differences were observed (P〉0.05). Collectively, the obtained results preliminarily indicated that the fertilizer efficiency of N120% digested pig biogas slurry was basically similar to that of the conventional urea fertilizer, and the indica hybrid rice still grew well when the urea was substituted with the excessive application amount of biogas slurry up to N200%. Furthermore, the increase of biogas slurry application amount improved the nutritional value of grains of indica hybrid rice.

    In order to investigation the effect of different concentrations of tetrazole solution and different dyeing temperature on the determination of seed viability of Helianthus tuberosus, the optimum conditions of seed viability of Helianthus tuberosus determination were screened according to the principle of tetrazole dyeing method (TTC). The results showed that the best dyeing effect was obtained under the following conditions: after completely soaked in the distilled water at 25 %, the seeds of Helianthus tuberosus were dyed using TTC with concentration of 0.5% for 7 hours under dark condition of 35 %. The seeds viability can be well determined and their potential germination ability can be well estimated using the above method. This study provides references for the rapid determination of seed viability of Helianthus tuberosus.

    This study aimed to evaluate and compare the improving effect of Tibetan local lactic acid bacteria and commercial lactic acid bacteria preparation on the silage fermentation quality of Vicia sativa. The experiment consisted of 5 treatment groups with 3 replicates in each group, including a control group (C, no supplementation), a supplementation group of commercial lactic acid bacteria preparation (G), and 3 supplementation groups of local lactic acid bacteria (supplementation of Tibetan local lactic acid bacteria HG24, LMG4 and LOG5, respectively). At the 60th day of silaging, the silage samples from different groups were collected and their fermentation quality, nutritive value and microbial composition were determined. The results showed that compared with the control group, the lactic acid bacteria supplementation groups (G, HG24, LMG4 and LOG5) had higher lactic acid content and lactic acid bacteria count, lower pH value and ammonia nitrogen/total nitrogen value, trace content of butyric acid, and good fermentation quality; the lactic acid content and lactic acid/acetic acid value of LMG4 and LOG5 groups were significantly higher than those of the other groups (P〈0.05), while the pH value, acetic acid content, total volatile fatty acid content and ammonia nitrogen/total nitrogen value were significantly lower than those of the other groups (P〈0.05); the content of lactic acid and lactic acid/acetic acid value of HG24 group were significantly higher than those of control group and G group (P〈0.05), while pH value, acetic acid content, total volatile fatty acid content, ammonia nitrogen/total nitrogen value were significantly lower than those of control group and G group (P〈0.05). In conclusion, the improving effect of silage fermentation quality of Vicia sativa was LMG4 group, LOG5 group 〉 HG24 group 〉 G group 〉 control group.

    In order to study the optimum conditions for yellow silage fermentation of maize straw in Baotou region of Inner Mongolia, and to evaluate the feeding effect of the formula diet with supplementation of the prepared yellow silage on fattening sheep. Laboratory experiments on microbial fermentation agent, fermentation time duration and fermentation excipients were carried out using a three-factor and three-level orthogonal test to screen the best fermentation combination; according to GB/T 20807-2006 Concentrate for Sheep standard, the formula diet containing different proportions of yellow silage was prepared, and a feeding experiment was carried out to compare the fattening effect of traditional fattening sheep feed and formula diet supplemented with yellow silage of maize straw on Small-tailed Han sheep. The results showed that the order of the three factors influencing the pH value of yellow silage was as follows: fermentation excipient〉fermentation microbial agent〉fermentation time duration; the best combination of fermentation conditions was liquid EM fermentation microbial agent +fermentation 25 d+salt; the live weight, carcass weight and single ocular muscle area of the sheep fed with different proportions of yellow slige in basal diet were significantly higher than those fed with traditional fattening diet (P〈0.05); the feed conversion rate of sheep fed basal diet with 40% yellow silage was significantly higher than that of control group (P〈0.05); the slaughter rate of sheep fed with 20% yellow silage in basal diet was significantly higher than that of control group (P〈0.05); there were no significant differences in daily weight gain, thigh muscle thickness, waist muscle thickness and water holding capacity between the two experiment groups (P〉0.05). Considering the feeding effect and the feeding cost, the best fattening effect for Small-tailed Han sheep was to add 40% into the basal diet.

    The quality of the eggshell, an important index for assessing the quality of the egg, has a great impact on the transportation, storage, processing, consumption and hatching of the egg. In this paper, the factors affecting eggshell quality, such as calcium, phosphorus, vitamins, trace elements, electrolytes, chicken age, feeding management, diseases and medicines, were elaborated in detail, and the control measures for improving eggshell quality were summarized, in hoping to provide useful information for egg producers and operators.

    In order to develop Pennisetum sinese as a feed resource for beef cattle and to assess the feeding value of Pennisetum sinese on beef cattle, the feeding effect of corn stalk silage, whole ear corn silage and Pennisetum sinese silage on crossbred beef cattle of Charolais and Qinchuan cattle were evaluated and statistically compared. The results showed that the individual average daily gain of the crossbred beef cattle fed with whole ear corn silage and Pennisetum sinese silage were elevated by 35.3% and 17.6% compared to that of the beef cattle fed with corn stalk silage, respectively; whole ear corn silage was better than Pennisetum sinese silage. Collectively, Pennisetum sinese has the potential to serve as feed resource in winter in northern Shaanxi area.

    [Objective]To assess the effects of biological fermented feed on productive performance and egg quality of laying hens.[Methods]A total of 8 000 healthy 367-day-old Highland Brown laying hens were randomly assigned into two groups: a control group (n=4 000) fed with basal diet, and an experimental group (n=4 000) fed with a fixed diet supplemented with 4% fermented palm kernel cake in basal diet. The experimental period lasted for 45 days. At the end of the experiment, the productive performance and egg quality of the laying hens in experimental group and control group were determined and statistically evaluated. [Results] At the 45th day of the experiment, the average daily egg weight and the ratio of feed to egg of experimental group were increased by 6.62% (P〈0.05) and reduced by 4.56% (P〈0.05) compared to control group, respectively; the albumen height and Haugh unit of laying hens in the experimental group were both significantly elevated compared to that in the control group, which were increased by 9.56% (P〈0.05) and 6.31% (P〈0.05), respectively; the experimental group had extremely significantly higher yolk color degree compared to the control group (P〈0.01).[Conclusion]The supplementation of fermented palm kernel cake in basal diet can improve the productive performance and egg quality of laying hens.
    Effects of Different Feed Types on Productive Performance and Economic Benefits of Late Fattening Donkeys

    In order to study the effect of powder feed and pellet feed on the productive performance of late fattening donkey, a total of 30 late fattening male donkeys with similar weight and age were chosen and randomly divided into two groups. There were three replicates for each group and five donkeys for each replicate. One of the two groups was fed with powder feed and the other group was fed with pellet feed. The feeding experiment lasted for 30 days. At the end of the experiment, the average daily gain of the late fattening donkeys in both groups during the whole period were determined and statistically assessed, and the economic benefits of the two groups were measured according to the current price and were compared. Furthermore, a 3-day-long digestion test was carried out at the end of the experiment. The results showed that the average daily gain and crude protein digestibility of the pellet feed group were increased by 4.61% (P〈0.05) and 8.40% (P〈0.05) compared to the powder feed group, respectively; the feeding economic benefit of the pellet feed group was 12.12 Yuan per donkey less than that of the powder feed group. It can be concluded from the results that the power feed performed better in economic benefit than pellet feed for late fattening male donkeys.

    This study aimed to assess the nutritional composition, feeding effect and feeding economic benefit of baled oat forage silage on sheep in alpine area. Qinghai Oula-type sheep were grouped and fed with baled oat forage silage, whole-plant corn silage, oat green hay and wheat straw, respectively. Each of the experimental sheep was offered a supplementary concentrate of 0.25 kg/d during the experimental period. All of the sheep were reared in the same feeding and management conditions, and the feeding experiment lasted for 51 days. The results showed that the crude protein content (dry matter %) of baled oat forage silage was increased by 13.77%, 94.23% and 130.13% compared to that of the whole-plant corn silage, oat green hay and wheat straw, respectively; the crude fiber of baled oat forage silage was increased by 52.35% compared to that of the whole-plant corn silage, and was reduced by 11.14% and 26.73% compared to that of the oat green hay and wheat straw, respectively; the average daily forage grass intake of the sheep fed with baled oat forage silage was significantly higher than that of the sheep fed with oat green hay, wheat straw and whole-plant corn silage, which was increase by 130.93% (P〈0.01), 199.58% (P〈0.01) and 4.28% (P〈0.05), respectively; the individual daily gain of the sheep fed with baled oat forage silage reached up to 197.35 g/d, which was increased by 10.85% (P〉0.05) compared to that of the sheep fed with whole-plant corn silage, and was elevated by 40.96% (P〈0.01) and 101.71% (P〈0.01) compared to that of the sheep fed with oat green hay and wheat straw, respectively; the individual daily feeding economic benefit of the sheep fed with baled oat forage silage was 1.71 Yuan/d which was 1.17, 0.96 and 0.50 Yuan/d more than that of the sheep fed with oat green hay, wheat straw and whole-plant corn silage, respectively, indicating the increasing rate of 216.67%, 128.00% and 41.32%, respectively. In conclusion, the baled oat forage silage has obvious feeding economic benefit in sheep rearing, and it is worthy of popularizing in alpine area.

    In order to compare and analyze the quality differences of alfalfa seeds in different ecological environment, the germination rate, germination index and simplified vigor index of alfalfa seeds in Inner Mongolia region (Hohhot) and Heilongjiang region (Qiqihar) were determined using the alfalfa varieties of Gongnong No.1 and Longmu 806 as experimental materials on filter paper, respectively. The results showed that in Hohhot area, the highest germination rate (96.3%) and germination index (38.47) were observed in Gongnong No.1 seeds, and the highest simplified vigor index (0.159) was found in Longmu 806. The alfalfa seeds had better performance on germination rate, germination index and simplified activity index in Hohhot area than in Qiqihar area. It was indicated that different ecological environment had great impact on seeds quality of alfalfa.
    Analysis of Crossbreeding Effect between Hulun Buir Short Tailed Sheep and Gobi Sheep

    In order to improve the characteristics of small size and large tail size of Gobi sheep, a crossbreeding experiment was conducted using Hulun Buir short tailed sheep as male parent by introductive crossing breeding method. The comparative analysis of early growth and development showed that although the early growth and development rules of F1 and F2 hybrid lambs were consistent with those of Gobi lambs from 0 to 3 months old, and the growth and development of F2 hybrid lambs were significantly faster than that of F1 hybrid lambs and Gobi lambs after 2 months old. The average daily gain from 0 to 3 months old of Gobi lambs, F1 hybrid lambs and F2 hybrid lambs was 121.189 g,138.978 g and 170.133 g, respectively, which indicated that hybrid F2 lambs grew fastest and Gobi lambs grew slowest. By comparing the body size and tail shape of 3 months old lambs, it was found that the height, body length and chest circumference of F2 hybrid lambs were significantly higher than those of Gobi lambs; the tail length and tail width of F2 hybrid lambs were 7.596 0 cm and 7.268 1 cm, respectively, which were significantly smaller than those of Gobi lambs. The obtained data suggested that the crossbreeding of Hulun Buir short tailed sheep could enlarge the body shape and decrease the tail shape of Gobi sheep effectively.

    The terrential rain which occurred in Liaoning region during 15 to 17 August 2013 caused significant economic losses to the local area. This experiment analyzed rainfall intensity and persistence of "8·16" heavy rain in different regions of Liaoning Province based on analyzing high and low-altitude weather conditions, water vapor conditions and vertical movement conditions by using the sounding data, ground data and ECWMF reanalysis data. The results showed that the large-scale and mesoscale circulation field provided a favorable background condition for the terrential rain, the high-altitude jet stream and the low-altitude shear provided good dynamic lifting conditions. The terrain and regional water vapor were important factors associated with the differences of rainfall intensity and precipitation in different regions. During the whole weather process, the highest total rainfall amount and the longest persistence duration were observed in Qinyuan County, which resulted in a huge loss; the hour maximum rainfall intensity was found in Heishan County which reached up to 108.2 mm. The heavy rain caused huge losses to the agricultural and animal husbandry production in Liaoning region. The direct economic loss of agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery in Heishan County reached up to 212 million Yuan; the economic loss of agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery in Xifeng County was 274.5 million Yuan; the affected area of crops in Fushun City was 1 803.47 hm^2, and the direct economic loss to agricultural production was 23.66 million Yuan; the total affected area of crops in Xinbin County was 5 244.3 hm^2, the disaster area was 4 387 hm^2, the total harvest failure area was 1 341.5 hm^2, the destroyed cultivated land area was 890.3 hm2, and 135 livestock and 50 sheep died.
    Study on the Relationship between Meteorological Factors and the Growth Height of Leymus chinensis--Taking the Meadow Steppe Area of Inner Mongolia as an Example

    The objective of this study was to assess the relationship between primary meteorological factors and growth height of Leymus chinensis in meadow steppe of Inner Mongolia from 1990 to 2017. According to the climate characteristics of meadow grassland in Inner Mongolia, a total of six parameters associated with hydrothermal environment, including precipitation, temperature, sunshine hours and their corresponding accumulated value, of each ten-day period during May 1 to August 31 of each year from 1990 to 2017 were selected. The relational model of primary meteorological factors and growth height of Leymus chinensis was established using the above six variables and the contemporaneous monitoring data of growth height of Leymus chinensis. The correlation and regression analysis were employed to assess the relationship between primary meteorological factors and growth height of Leymus chinensis. The results showed that the growth height of Leymus chinensis was negatively correlated with the date of re-greening, and was positively correlated with the amount of precipitation in the middle ten days of May, the number of sunshine hours in the middle ten days of June, and the total amount of precipitation from May 1 to June 20; the height of Leymus chinensis in the middle ten days of July were impacted by the total amount of precipitation from May 1 to June 20 which was an important meteorological factor affecting the highest value of Leymus chinensis within the year; the relational model between the growth height of Leymus chinensis and meteorological factors for each ten-day period was established by using stepwise regression method in units of ten days. The results obtained in this study provide basic data for the research on dynamic characteristics of plants growth in meadow steppe area of this region.

    In order to understand the main brands, types, packaging forms and traceability information records in supermarkets in Rizhao of Shandong Province, the marketing actuality of the traceability food in 10 large and medium scaled supermarkets in urban of Rizhao was investigated in 2018. The results showed that there were 10 kinds and 45 brands of traceable food in supermarket in Rizhao, including 28 domestic brands and 17 imported brands. Infant formula milk powder, fruit, pure milk, rice, baby rice powder, yoghurt, tea, vegetables, soy products and oatmeal accounted for 40.00%, 20.00%, 8.89%, 8.89%, 8.89%, 4.44%, 2.22%, 2.22%, 2.22% and 2.22%, respectively, and the corresponding effective retrospective information scores were 66.67, 42.22, 47.50, 100, 47.50, 40.00, 0, 100, 100 and 40.00, respectively. The average score of the domestic brands was 65.71 and that of the imported brands was 49.41. The traceability information of the domestic brands was better than that of the imported brands. The packaging of traceable food was mainly made of hardcover, because the use of fine packaging helped facilitate the sale of traceable food. National policies, food safety affair, identification and maintenance of geographical indication products, and the attention of enterprises and consumers all play important roles in promoting the establishment of food traceability system.

    Jianshui County of Hani-Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Honghe is located in the karst area with low latitude and high altitude and is one of the experimental areas for sustainable development of China's 13th Five-Year Plan. In recent years, the animal husbandry based on grass planting and sheep raising has developed rapidly and become an effective way for farmers to increase their income. However, in the process of development, the problems such as reduced land use efficiency and decreased breeding efficiency are becoming increasingly prominent. Therefore, in order to improve the efficiency and to promote the development of ecological animal husbandry, a modern and high-efficiency agricultural demonstration park aiming to develop the dairy goat breeding industry based on grass production was built in Wulichong of Miandian Town of Jianshui County. The construction of the park has significance for protecting the ecological environment and elevating the economic income of farmers in this region, and provides technical and theoretical guidance for promoting the technology of livestock breeding combining with grass production.

    Taking the independent-sample t test by using Excel and SPSS as an example, the analysis process of inferencing the two samples data in randomly designed experiment was interpreted to investigate the statistical results between two treatments. In terms of two independent-sample t test, the data obtained with Excel were completer and more accurate but were complicated; the analysis process with SPSS was relatively simple, but the obtained data were less accurate than Excel. It was indicated that the choice of Excel and SPSS in independent-sample t test was expected to be made according to the actual situation.

    Outcome based education (OBE) is a student-oriented and outcome-based education model. In this study, the teaching mode of OBE was introduced into the theoretical teaching of Animal Epidemic Diseases Prevention and Control Technology. By fully demonstrating the teaching objectives, reassembling knowledge modules, introducing relevant enterprise technology lecturers into the classroom, and comprehensively evaluating the teaching results, we concluded that under this educational model, students' learning objectives are clearer, the social needs and university's personnel training are plenitudinously integrated, and satisfied teaching results are achieved.

    From 2014 to 2018, the veterinary medicine specialty of Liaocheng University divided the experimental teaching of Veterinary Microbiology into two stages. The first stage mainly offered basic verification experiments to cultivate students' basic operational skills. The second stage offered comprehensive design experiments to cultivate students' scientific research consciousness and team spirit. After exploration and improvement for several years, a relatively mature two-stage experimental teaching mode has been gradually constructed. The application of this teaching mode is conducive to the cultivation of high- quality personnel, and can also provide high-quality applied and scientific research personnel for the animal husbandry and veterinary medicine industry.

    The outcome based education (OBE) is a teaching system which confirms to the social requirement for practical application-oriented talents in the present. This paper used the case from college of life science in Huaiyin Normal University. The teaching reform of Food Nutrition course under the OBE idea was stated in five aspects, goal reaching degree of talent training, teaching content design, construction of knowledge module, application of teaching methods, and curriculum assessment. The present study will supply some references for food specialty and agroforestry specialty in local colleges and universities, and some new ideas for the culture of high quality applied talents in this region.

    Biostatistics is one of the important tools to know the world. Single sample t test is suitable for the comparison between sample mean x and the known population mean μ0. Its purpose is to test if there is a difference between population mean μ represented by sample mean x and the known population mean μ0 which is commonly a standard value, theoretical value, or a relatively stable indicator obtained by a large number of inspections. In this study, the physical indexes of blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, body weight from 74 male and 96 female college students were collected. The normal reference range of the physical indicators was indexed from the published literatures. SPSS program was used for data collation, single sample t test analysis and population inference.

    The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial effects of 16 Mongolian herb medicines on pathogenic Escherichia coli (E. coli) of 3 different serotypes in vitro. The inhibition diameters of the Mongolian herb medicines against the tested strains were determined by Oxford cup method; the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) were determined using micro-dilution method in combination with agar plate method; the fractional inhibitory concentration indexes(FICI) of the screened Mongolian herb medicines with superior antibacterial activity were determined by chessboard method. The results showed that the inhibition diameters of Urishgu-Dalan-Harrisu, Syner-Honglian and Ullajigana against the E. coli of 3 different serotypes ranged from 16.10 mm to 29.64 mm,the corresponding MIC ranged from 7.81 mg/mL to 31.25 mg/mL,and the corresponding MBC ranged from 15.63 mg/mL to 125 mg/mL; the FICI of Ullajigana and Syner-Honglian as well as Schubugri-Himuledeg and Hur-Turu against E. coli O26 were both 0.50; the FICI of Ullajigana and Urishgu-Dalan-Harrisu against E. coli O83 was 0.50. The combined data suggested that Urishgu-Dalan-Harrisu, Syner-Honglian, Hur-Turu, Ullajigana and Anar had a better performance in comprehensive bacteriostasis effect against E. coli of 3 serotypes; Schubugri-Himuledeg and Hur-Turu exhibited a synergistic effect in inhibiting E. coli O26, which could be given priority in the formulation; Ullajigana and Urishgu-Dalan-Harrisu expressed a synergistic effect in inhibiting E. coli O83, which could be given priority in the formulation.
    Development and Application of Compound Traditional Chinese Medicine against Chicken Infectious Bursa Disease in White Feather Broiler

    The aim of the present study was to evaluate the preventive and therapeutic effects of compound traditional Chinese medicines with different administrative methods against chicken infectious bursa disease (IBD) in broilers. A total of 5 600 healthy white feather broilers were chosen and averagely assigned into preventive experiment group and therapeutic experiment group; six screened compound traditional Chinese medicines were used in preventive experiment (compound Ⅰ-Ⅲ) and therapeutic experiment (compound Ⅳ-Ⅵ); a total of four administrative methods, including feeding administration, drinking administration, atomization administration and comprehensive administration, were used in both preventive experiment and therapeutic experiment; there were five groups for each administrative method, including three experimental groups and two control groups, and one compound traditional Chinese medicine was administrated for each experimental group; the morbidity and mortality of the broilers caused by IBD were observed in preventive experiment, and the healing rate and mortality of the broilers caused by IBD were observed in therapeutic experiment. The results showed that in preventive experiment, the compound Ⅱ had an overall good performance in all of the four administrative methods; the preventative efficacy of compound Ⅱ against IBD was similar to that of vaccination; the IBD incidence of the broilers administrated with compound Ⅱ by the four administrative methods were all below 20%; in therapeutic experiment, the best comprehensive curative effect was observed in compound Ⅴ; when the IBDV challenged broilers were given compound Ⅴ by drinking administration method and comprehensive administration method, the healing rate was similar rate to that of the broilers treated with antibiotics+antiviral agents; generally, for all of the three compound traditional Chinese medicines for therapeutic use, drinking administration method and comprehensive administration method had better curative effect compared to feeding administration method and atomization administration. The combined data suggested that the natural compound traditional Chinese medicine had certain preventive and therapeutic effects against IBD in broilers.
