Determination of Caffeic Acid in Shugan Yipi Mixture by HPLC

Abstract: To develop a quantitative method for determination of the content of caffeic acid in Shugan Yipi mixture,HPLC was made in the study.The separation was performed by using Diamonsil C18 colume (5 μm × 250 mm × 4.6 mm)with a mobile phase consisting of a mixture of methanolphosphoric acid (13∶87,pH:4.0) and column temperature of 35 ℃ and flow rate of 1 mL/min and detective wavelength of 323 nm. The results indicated that the calibration curve is linear within the range from 0.039 6 to 0.792 0 μg (r=1),and the average recovery was 99.0 % with RSD of 2.30 %.The method can be used for the quality control of Shugan Yipi mixture with the advantages of simplicity,reproducibility and stability.
