Abstract: The outcome based education （OBE） is a teaching system which confirms to the social requirement for practical application-oriented talents in the present. This paper used the case from college of life science in Huaiyin Normal University. The teaching reform of Food Nutrition course under the OBE idea was stated in five aspects, goal reaching degree of talent training, teaching content design, construction of knowledge module, application of teaching methods, and curriculum assessment. The present study will supply some references for food specialty and agroforestry specialty in local colleges and universities, and some new ideas for the culture of high quality applied talents in this region.
