Detection of Salmonella in White Fish Meal

Abstract: Salmonella,a kind of common intestinal bacteria,are often found in feed.They can cause food-borne hazards of animal sepsis and thus indirectly threat human health.Salmonella are one kind of important zoonotic pathogens.To avoid hazards of feed caused by Salmonella contamination,Salmonella in white fish meal were detected by routine methods including isolation and identification based on biochemical and serological characteristics.The results showed that one of the samples had been contaminated by Salmonella.
