Abstract: [Objective] In order to detect the bovine and ovine-derived components in feedstuffs of ruminant animal in food derived from them, and to evaluate the bio-security situations of animal feed. [Method] The conventional PCR has been used to detect 300 samples in Henan Province. [Result] The result showed that the qualified rate was 99.33%. Among these products, the qualified rate was 99.23% in 260 batches of ruminant feed and the qualified rate was 100% in 40 batches of animal-derived material feed. Both of the two samples of unqualified products are cattle-derived material. [Conclusion] There is a potential security risk in ruminant feed.
