Abstract: Target of the major of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine in the higher vocational colleges is to cultivate senior application talents who engage in front-line work of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, such as the production, service and management. With the rapid development of modern animal husbandry, the higher comprehensive practical ability of animal husbandry and veterinary graduates are required by social employer. In this paper, the training model of animal husbandry and veterinary professional applied talents in new situation are discussed on the aspect of improving teachers′ quality, optimizing curriculum system, perfecting practice teaching, improving teaching content, establishing teaching resource database with professional characteristics and talent training evaluation system.
