Abstract: Animal science specialty of local universities is closely related with production practice. In order to cultivate high quality application-oriented professional talents who meet the market demands, according to the actual situation of Xinyang College of Agricultural and Forestry, practice and exploration are made on the following aspect： talent training mode reform, practical teaching conditions enhancement, teaching methods and means optimization, teaching team construction, and comprehensive evaluation system application.
