Abstract: Silage corn is commonly used as the green roughage feed in cattle,sheep and other herbivorous animals.It has good palatability and rich nutrient and can be preserved for a long time.The popularization of silage corn feed not only solves the problem of green feed lack for herbivorous livestock in the spring and winter,but also serves as an important mean to solve the environmental problems caused by improper handling of corn stalks.This article mainly reviews the production process,application in herbivorous livestock and developmental prospects of silage corn fodder,in hoping to provide references for the practical production.
