Abstract: We introduced nine new varieties of “Hua shu” series potato in Zhanjiang,and the “Yang ren yang” was used as control.The phenological period and plant morphology were observed;the field and tuber traits were evaluated;and the yields of the nine cultivars was determined.The results showed that all nine varieties were Middle-early maturing varieties,and the comprehensive performance of “Hua shu No.1” and “Hua shu No.2” were excellent,with strong growth potential and high yield.The combined yields were 38 019 kg/hm² and 34 850.7 kg/hm²,respectively,which were 21.93% and 11.76% higher than the control.Hence,“Hua shu No.1” and “Hua shu No.2”can be extended in Zhanjiang.“RJB” is a purple skin and purple meat variety with good comprehensive performance.It can be extended also as a color potato variety in Zhanjiang.Other varieties need to be further tested to determine whether they are worth popularizing.
