Abstract: In this article, the grey related degree analysis was employed to investigate the relationship among ear length, ear diameter, bald tip, kernel row of ear, kernel row number, kernels per ear, hundred-grain weight, rate of bearing kernel and gain weight per plant of variety in 21 maize hybrids. The conclusion was that relative importance order between the 9characters and grain yield was kernels per ear 〉rate of bearing kernel kernel〉 row of ear 〉kernel row number 〉ear diameter 〉ear length 〉hundred-grain weight 〉bald tip. It should be given priority to kernels per ear and rate of bearing kernel in a later stage of combination selection.
