Abstract: The study on the effects of subsoiling on soil physical characters and yield in spring maize. After the subsoiling, the results showed that soil bulk density was descender than CK in 10 ~40 cm soil depth; soil moisture was higher than CK in 20 ~80 cm soil depth; plant height, ear length, kernels per row, kernel weight per ear, kernel weight and yield significantly increased. Production reached 15 678.6 kg/hm2 was increased by 12.7%.It can well promote corn growth and yield formation.
