Abstract: Glutamine is a conditional essential amino acid. Glutamine dipeptide is bipeptide composed of glutamine and other amino acids. As glutamine dipeptides have similar biological functions with glutamine and do not have shortages of glutamine, animal nutritionists have paid attention to research on glutamine dipeptide in recent years. Many researchers have studied glutamine and its dipeptides in animals. This article reviews the biological functions of glutamine dipeptides and their effects on growth performance of weanling piglets.
