Abstract: As the rural economic level was enhanced,the rural environmental problems were increasingly outstanding and the solid waste in rural area had gradually became an important factor causing rural environmental pollution. But,there was very great hysteretic nature in controlling the solid waste pollution in rural area. Its concrete manifestation was as follows：the legislation for rural environment protection was absent,the administrative agencies for environment were not perfect,the sources of control capital were not enough,the environmental protection awareness of farmers was relatively low,and so on. The relative countermeasures for controlling solid waste pollution in rural area were discussed in environmental legislation,administrative agencies,environmental awareness,and so on by the writer through analyzing the pollution status of solid waste in rural area.
