Abstract: 60 Kunming mice were randomly divided into 5 test groups (A, B, C, D, E)with different doses of Oxytropis glabra DC (60%, 40% ,20%, 10% ,5% )and a control group. The toxicity test of O. glabra was carried out for 60 days. The results showed that mice that were fed with the diet with adding 20% O. globra all survived within 60 days. And mice in the group of adding 40% O. glabra began to die after 57 days. And mice in the group of adding 60% O. glabra began to die after 45 days. The weight gain rate of mice obviously decreased with the increasing of O. glabra in the diet. The final weight of mice in A, B, C test groups was extremely significantly different with control group (P〈0.01 ). And the weight gain of mice in D test group was significantly different with control group (P〈0.05) and that in E group had no significant difference with control group. Compared with control group ,the viscera coefficients (heart, spleen, brain and lung) of mice in different dose groups changed little. The liver coefficient and kidney coefficient increased with the increasing of the dose of O. glabra. The higher the content of O. glabra in the diet was, the more seriously mice's liver and kidney were swollen. And the differences of mice's liver and kidney between A, B, C groups and control group was extremely significant (P〈0.01), which O. gla/bra would caused the injury to the liver and kidney when the dose of O. glabra reached 20%.
