  • Anti-inflammatory Effects of Danqiao Injection in Mice in Vitro and in Vivo

    This study was aimed to assess the anti-inflammatory effects of Danqiao injection in vivo and in vitro by using the animal inflammatory model of ear edema induced by xylene in mice and the cell inflammatory model of RAW264.7 cell simulated by LPS. The in vivo experiment results revealed that the 0.025, 0.05, and 0A mg/ (kg· BW) of Danqiao injection significantly reduced the ear edema rate (P〈0.01) and serum content of IL-113,IL-8 and TNF-ct (P〈0.05) of the model mice. The in vitro experiment results showed that the 25, 50 and 100 μg/mL of Danqiao injection significantly reduced the increased serum content of TNF-α and IL-1β of RAW264.7 cell induced by LPS. The combined data suggest that the Danqiao injection has good anti- inflammatory effects in vivo and in vitro.
    Expression and Localization of MC1R in the Skin Tissues of Taihang Goats with Different Coat Colors

    MC1R is one of the important candidate genes that are associated with the regulation of mammalian coat colors. Melanocortin 1 receptor (MC1R) is encoded by this gene which plays important roles in the metabolism of mammalian melanin. In the present study, the structures of skin from the black, white, brown and white with black-spots Taihang Goats were observed using the HE staining method, respectively. Immunohistochemistry assay was performed to study the expression of MC1R in the skins of goats with different coat colors. Results showed that the skins of the Taihang Goats consisted of epidermis, subdermal and subcutaneous connective tissue. No expression MC1R of was found in epidermis and subdermal in the tissues from goats with different coat colors. However, the expression MC1R was observed in the hair follicles of the black, brown and white with black- spots Taihang Goats which was mainly distributed in the outer root sheath. The results obtained in this study provide a basis for the further genetic selection of Taihang Goats.
    Determination of Blood Physiological and Biochemical Indexes and Trace Element Content of Arbas White Cashmere Goats with Trichophagia in Ordos

    The aim of the present study was to determine and analyze the blood physiological and biochemical indexes and trace element content of Arbas White Cashmere Goats with Trichophagia and healthy ones in Ordos of Inner Mongolia. The results showed that the content of copper in blood of the trichophagia suffered goats was significantly lower than that of the healthy ones (/9〈0.05), and the content of ALT in blood of trichophagia suffered goats was significantly higher than that of the healthy ones (P〈 0.05). The differences in the tested blood indexes between triehophagia suffered goats and healthy ones indicate that the trichophagia suffered goats lack of trace element and their livers were injured.
    Investigation of Etiology of High Content γ-GT in Blood in Northwest Tibet Cashmere Goat

    The aim of the present study was to understand the etiology of high content γ-GT in blood in northwest Tibet Cashmere Goat. In order to assess the association of the blood pressure, related diseases and stress factor with the high content γ-GT in blood in northwest Tibet Cashmere Goat, the goat individuals with high content γ-GT in blood were selected; the electronic sphygmomanometer was used to determine their blood pressure; the diseases of hepatitis B, hepatitis E, hepatic echinococcosis and cholelithiasis were diagnosed by ELISA kit method and liver biopsy; the stress test was carried out to observe the effect of the stress on the blood content of γ-GT. The results revealed that amongst the 25 selected goats with high content γ-GT in blood, 4 of them had high blood pressure, 11 of them were HEV-IgG positive, none of them were HBV antigen positive, 12 of them were Echinococcos granulsus antibody positive, 3 of them were subjected to cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis, and 7 goats had high content γ-GT in blood after the stimulation of stress factor. The results suggest that the hepatitis and cholelithiasis caused by infections of hepatitis E virus and Echinococcos granulsus as well as the stress factor are the main etiology of high content γ-GT in blood in northwest Tibet Cashmere Goat.
    The Distribution of Fluoride in Different Tissues of Cipangopaludina cahayensis after Short-term Exposure

    In the present study, the Cipangopaludina cahayensis was used as material to assess the tissues distribution of fluoride after short-term exposure. The Cipangopaludina cahayensis was exposed in the water containing 0, 40, 80 and 160 mg/L of fluoride for consecutive 10, 20 and 30 days, respectively. Compared with the control, the fluoride content in gastropods of Cipangopaludina cahayensis was increased with the extension of exposure duration. Although there were no significant differences in fluoride content in the visceral mass between the 10-day fluoride exposed Cipangopaludina cahayensis and control, significant differences were found between the 20--day and 30-day fluoride exposed Cipangopaludina cahayensis and control (P〈0.05). With the extension of exposure duration, the fluoride content in gonad of exposed Cipangopaludina cahayensis was significantly increased compared with that of control (P〈0.05).     Evaluation of Antioxidant Activity of Selenium-containing Polysaccharides from Selenium -enriched Auricularia auricular

    The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antioxidant activity of selenium-containing polysaccharides from selenium -enriched A uricularia auricular and common polysaccharides from A uricularia auricular. Spectrophotometry assay was used to determine the scavenging capacity of selenium-containing polysaccharides and common polysaccharides against ·OH radical and ·O2 radical. The results revealed that both of the selenium-containing polysaccharides and common polysaccharides exhibited the activity to scavenge and balance a variety of active .OH radical and ·O radical; the selenium-containing polysaecharides had better scavenging capacity against .OH radical and ·O2 radical than common polysaccharides; the scavenging rate against the radicals of both of the polysaecharides was increased with the increasement of their concentrations; both of the selenium-containing polysaecharides and common polysaceharides had antioxidant activity in vitro, and their antioxidant activity was positively related with their concentrations. It is indicated that compared with the common polysaccharides from A uricularia auricular, the selenium -enriched A uricularia auricular has stronger antioxidant activity, and it performs better in alleviating the injuries caused by radicals.
    Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation of Genetic Characteristics of Service Rams in Ningxia Yanchi Breeding Farm in 2014

    In the present study, five indicators associated with genetic characteristics of rams were selected to perform the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of genetic characteristics of service rams in Ningxia Yanchi breeding farm in 2014 by using fuzzy mathematical theory. The results revealed that in the twelve tested rams, the top-ranked comprehensive score was observed in ZJ mm (0.737 3), followed by 090829 ram with the score of 0.487 3, and the lowest comprehensive score was observed in 100411 mam (0.326 2). The data obtained in this study suggest that based on the five selected indicators, the ZJ ram has the best genetic characteristics.

    The polymorphism of c.C565G mutation site in second exon of adiponectin gene (NC_006096) from 67 Wuding Chicken was assessed by PCR-RFLP. Single enzyme digestion of the PCR products was performed with restriction enzyme of Mva I. The results revealed that 3 genetypes (AA, AB and BB) were found in the locus. The population genetics characteristics were analyzed by Chi-square (X^2) fitness test and the results demonstrated that the locus of c.C565G was under equilibrium condition.

    This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of supplementing different concentrations of N-acetyl-cysteine in the extender on cryo-preservation quality of chicken semen. The fresh semen samples from Anka breeder chickens were collected and diluted with two separate extenders (A and B) each adding different concentrations (0.013 0 and 0.002 6 mol/L) of N-acetyl- cysteine. The diluted semen samples were subsequently cryo-preserved and the preservation time, survival index and deformity rate were determined. The results revealed that in the A extender, there were no significant differences in preservation time and survival index between the 0.013 0 mol/L of N-aeetyl-cysteine treatment samples and 0.002 6 mol/L of N-acetyl-cysteine treatment samples (P〉0.05), but preservation time and survival index of the two N-acetyl-cysteine treatment samples were significantly higher than those of control (P〈0.01); in the B extender, the preservation time and survival index of the 0.013 0 mol/L of N-aeetyl-eysteine treatment samples were significantly higher than those of 0.002 6 mol/L of N-acetyl-cysteine treatment samples and control (P〈0.01), but no significant differences in preservation time and survival index between the 0.002 6 mol/L of N-acetyl-cysteine treatment samples and control were observed (P〉0.05). The addition and adding levels of N-acetyl-cysteine in the extenders had no obvious effect on the sperm deformity rate of Anka breeder chickens (P〉0.05).

    Stellera chamaejasme, belonging to Thymelaeaceae, is widely distributed in grassland and is highly toxic for bovine, sheep and other domestic animals. The mistakenly eating of Stellera chamaejasme commonly results in diarrhea and even death of animals. However, the secondary metabolites of Stellera chamaejasme exhibit strong insecticidal and bactericidal activity, which has the potential to develop as green pesticide products. Here, we introduced the basic characteristics, geographical distribution, and ecological harm to the environment of Stellera chamaejasme, reviewed the medicinal value and status of research, development and utilization of Stellera chomo~jasme, described the allelopathy of Stellera chamaejasme, and prospected the application of SteUera chamaejasme, so as to provide a theoretical basis for achieving the application value of SteUera chamaejasme in the aspects of green pesticide development and environmental protection.

    Caragana intermedia Kuang. cv. ordos is a wild species of leguminous forage and is commonly distributed in arid desert steppe. After domestication and cultivation for many years, it is appraised and licenced by China Herbage Cuhivar Registration Board as a cultivated wild variety. Here, we reviewed the botanical characteristics, biological characteristics, feeding value, cultivation technique, analyzed the existing problems in promotion and utilization, proposed the possible strategies on variety improvement, and prospected the utilization of Caragana intermedia Kuang. cv. ordos, so as to provide scientific basis for the further study of this forage variety.

    The straw hiomass resources and its utilization approach were introduced, and the transforming condition from straw hiomass to fuel ethanol was analyzed. Based on the digestion characteristics of ruminants' rumen, the utilization mode of straw biomass that the crude fiber in straw was pretreated in the ruminants' rumen, the residual fiber in the feces of the ruminants was used as alcohol fermentation substrates and the residual organic matters were incorporated was proposed, so as to provide approaches for the effective utilization of straw biomass resources.

    At present, the dairy industry development in Hebei Province is facing an industry crisis and undergoes a period of universal losses. Based on the "pull" theory of production mode, stimulating the dairy products consumption market has become the most important driving factor that is able to promote the healthy development of the industry, expand and improve the competitiveness of dairy industry market of Hebei Province. Based on the investigation and questionnaire conducted in Baoding, Shijiazhuang, Handan, Zhangjiakou and other cities in Heibei Province, we deeply analyzed the current situation of pasteurized milk consumption and the restricting factors of development process, and we also proposed reasonable countermeasures.

    In an attempt to adapt to the demand on cultivation of innovative professional talents in veterinary medicine in 21^st century, we analyzed the main problems existing in practice teaching of clinical veterinary medicine as well as the necessity of its teaching reform, and explored a number of implementation schemes on clinical practice teaching reform. The experimental teaching system of "three levels, multiple-layered, double targets" was established. A series of flexible teaching methods, including combination of social practice and teaching practice, introduction of case-study teaching practice, were applied. Meanwhile, a new practical teaching evaluation system was established. These reforms stimulated the learning interest and motivation of the undergraduates, and the obvious teaching effect were achieved.

    Animal Physiology is one of the most important professional basic courses for the major of animal science and veterinary medicine. In order to improve the teaching quality of Animal Physiology for undergraduates, in view of the teaching status and existing problems in teaching A niraal Physiology, the significance of "participatory" teaching method in teaching design of this course was discussed. The reform and exploration of "participatory" teaching method were performed in the aspects of teaching content, classroom discussion and teaching evaluation model, so as to stimulate the undergraduates' interest to participate in classroom teaching and to improve their learning ability of independent innovation.

    In recent years, the information and computing science education has a rapid development. Here, we analyze the problems existing in practical talents training in the major of information and computing science in colleges and universities under the background of "innovation and pioneering", including the talent training target is not clear, teaching methods and means are backward, and construction of teaching staff lags, and discuss the appropriate approach of the talents training for this major. We also carry out the studies on practical talents training mode construction, promote the reform on teaching methods and means, and perform the supporting work on practical talents training, so as to improve the cultivation quality of practical talents training in the major of information and computing science and to provide references for the cultivation of talents who are able to adapt to the social demand.

    Based on the general observation data collected by meteorology bureau of Oroqen Autonomous Banner of Inner Mongolia from 1981 to 2010, the association of permafrost depth variation with climate changes in Alihe region of Oroqen Autonomous Banner of Inner Mongolia was assessed. The results showed that in the past 30 years, the permafrost depth in this region exhibited an increasing trend with the rate of 7.23 cm per 10 years; the degree of early trend of the end date was greater than that of start date, indicating the permafrost period would get shorter. The variation of permafrost depth was negatively correlated with the changes of snow depth, temperature and precipitation.
    Discriminant Index of Radar Echo for Forecast of Hail Weather in Tongliao Area of Inner Mongolia

    In the present study, we analyzed the hail weather process occurred in Tongliao region of Inner Mongolia from the establishment of the new weather radar station to the year of 2013 and assessed the features of radar echo products obtained a period before the occurrence of hail as well as the radiosonde data. We found that the following features of the radar echo products all had an indicative significance for the forecast of hail weather: the hook echo of radar reflectivity factor, V-notch, three scattering (spike-shaped echo), bow-shaped echo, herringbone echo (LEWP), diamond echo; the convergence field or convergence zone, mesocyclone, and adverse wind area in radial velocity map; echo top height, VAD wind profile products, vertically integrated liquid water content, mesocyclone products, profile of intensity and velocity. Based on the above features, we summarized the corresponding indicators which could be used as a judgment basis for the forecast of hail weather in the practical work of short-term forecast and nowcasting to improve the forecasting and warning capability for the hail weather in Tongliao region.
