  • Study on Laying Performance and Egg Quality of Hybrid F3 Derived from Royal Chickens and Guangxi-sanhuang Chickens

    Based on the experimental design and stipulated index, cross experiment was carried out by using royal chickens as male parent and Guangxi-sanhuang chickens as female parent. After the breeding of hybrid offsprings, the target traits were fixed by the backcross method. The laying performance and egg quality of hybrid F3 were evaluated. The results showed that the hybrid F3 had a high survival rate in laying period and less feed consumption. The qualified rate of hatching egg of the hybrid 173 was higher. The hybrid F3 had an excellent laying performance, their egg weight (EW), shell strength (SS), shell thickness (ST), yolk color (YC), the relative density of eggs (RDE), egg shape index (SI), yolk index (YI), eggshell proportion (EP), yolk proportion (YP), protein proportion (PP), Haugh unit (HU) were 38.92 g, 3.98 kg/cm2, 313.67 μm, 7.19, 1.06, 1.39, 0.44, 0.11, 0.35, 0.54 and 78.65, respectively.

    The rural free-ranging chicken eggs from Suichang County, saled native eggs in bulk and fresh eggs were used as materials to compare their quality, energy and content of sex steroid hormones in yolk. The weight of eggs, dry-wet weight of yolk, energy and the contents of testosterone, dihydrotestosterone and estradiol in yolk of different varieties eggs were determined respectively. The weight of saled native eggs and general fresh eggs were significantly higher than that of rural free-ranging chicken eggs (P〈0.01), and the dry-wet weight of yolk and energy of saled native eggs and rural free-ranging chicken eggs were significantly higher than that of fresh eggs (P〈0.01). While the content of testosterone and dihydrotestosterone in yolk of rural free-ranging chicken eggs was significantly less than that of saled native eggs and fresh eggs, no significant differences of estradiol content in yolk was observed among the three varieties eggs (P=0.145).

    The data of egg production of 7 520 breeding Hy-Line Brown laying hens from January to December of 2014 (122-day old to 429-day-old) were collected and statically analyzed. The highest laying rate in 2014 was observed in spring and the lowest rate was observed in autumn. The highest qualified rate of hatching egg was observed in winter and the lowest rate was observed in autumn. The highest feed to egg ratio was observed in winter and the lowest ratio was observed in spring. The highest broken egg rate was observed in summer and autumn, and the lowest rate was observed in winter. The highest mortality was observed in autumn and the lowest mortality was observed in winter.
    Acute Toxicity and Safety Assessment: of Fluoride on Cipangopaludina cahayensis

    In order to investigate the effect of fluoride on ecological toxicity of Cipangopaludina cahayensis, the acute toxicity effect of different concentrations fluoride exposure in water environment on Cipangopaludina cahayensis were determined by static biological toxicity test. The Cipangopaludina cahayensis showed fluorosis symptoms with different degrees when they were exposed to fluoride solution. With the increase of the fluoride concentration and the passage of exposure time, the death rate of Cipangopaludina cahayensis was increased, which exhibited an obvious dose-response relationship and time-response relationship. The median lethal concentration (LC50) of fluoride of 24, 48, 72 and 96 h on Cipangopaludina cahayensis were 694.12, 642.11,542.11 and 480.77 mg/L, respectively. The safe concentration of fluoride on Cipangopaludina cahayensis was calculated as 48.08 mg/L by the established regression equation. According to the acute toxicity grading standard, the fluoride was low toxic to Cipangopaludina cahayensis.
    Effect of GABA on Anti-stress Ability of Mice

    In order to investigate the anti-stress effects of GABA on animals, the experimental mice were administrated with 0.25, 0.5 and 1 g/(kg·BW·d) of GABA solution by gavage for 20 days, respectively. Subsequently, the anoxia tolerance test and the low and high temperature resistant test were carried out, and the content of blood lactic acid, urea nitrogen and liver glycogen were determined. The results showed that the mice administrated with GABA survived longer than those in control group. Furthermore, the blood lactic acid content of the treated groups was lower than that of the control group, and the significant reduction was observed in high and moderate dose groups (P〈0.05 or P〈0.01 ). It was indicated that GABA was capable to enhance the anti- stress ability of the mice.
    Technology Optimizing of Ultrasonic Assisted Extraction Method of Thermopsine from Thermopsis lanceolata

    Ultrasonic assisted methanol extraction technique was employed to extract thermopsiue from Thermopsis lanceolata, and the orthogonal experiment was conducted to optimize the extraction technology and to select the optimum extraction condition. The results showed that the optimum extraction condition was as followed: the methanol concentrations was 70%, the solid-liquid ratio (g/mL) was 1:20, the ultrasonic duration was 60 min, ultrasonic power was 500 W ,and the ultrasonic temperature was 60 ℃. The highest extraction rate reached 1.195%. It was proved that the ultrasonic assisted method was an effective and optimum technology for thermopsine extraction from Thermopsis lanceolata.
    Determination of Nutrient Elements in Different Varieties of Poultry Eggs

    In order to compare the contents of nutrient elements (major elements and trace elements) in difterent varieties of poultry eggs, the Ca, K, Na, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn content of 11 kind of saled poultry eggs were determined by ICP-OES method, and their P content was determined by vanadium molybdate yellow colorimetric method. Except for P content, the content of the other 8 nutrient elements was quail eggs〉green shell eggs of silky chicken〉white shell eggs of silky chicken〉the other 8 varieties of eggs. It was indicated that the nutrient elements content of quail eggs, green shell eggs of silky chicken and white shell eggs of silky chicken was relatively higher, and they have the potential to be developed as poultry eggs products with high nutritional value.
    Effect of Three Different Cellulose Thickeners on Water Soluble Stability of Superfine Comminuted Lamb Milk Replacer

    In order to investigate the effect of different thickening agents on water solution stability of superfine comminuted milk replacer, carboxymethyl cellulose, prior to reconstitution, microcrystalline cellulose and ethyl cellulose ethoce were added into the milk replacer with the proportion of 1%, 4%, 8%, 12%, 16% and 20%, respectively, and the samples were reconstituted in warm water with temperature of 60, 70 and 80 ~C, respectively. To avoid the influence of environment temperature, the experiment was performed in the constant temperature water bath pot. After reconstitution, the emulsion separation time of milk replacer samples added with different thickening agents under varied temperatures were determined by sensory test. The results of the test were recorded by videotapes and then analyzed. Meanwhile, the homogeneity and stability of the common type and superfine comminuted milk replacer were also statistically compared. The water solution stability of the superfine comminuted milk replacer added with 8% carboxymethyl cellulose was shown to be preferred, and the treatment of superfine comminution was able to improve the color and reconstitution property of the milk replacer.
    Effect of Different Dietary Forage to Concentrate Ratio on Xylanase Activity of Microorganism in Donkey Caecum

    The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of diets with different crude fiber levels on xylanase activity of microorganism in donkey caecum. The conventional diet group, high-fiber diet group and high-starch diet group were included in this study. The xylanase activity of microorganism of different groups were determined and statistically analyzed. The results showed that the xylanase activity of cecal microorganism of high-fiber diet group and high-starch diet group were significantly higher than that of the conventional diet group (P〈0.05).
    Effect of Different Packaging Density on the Fermentation Quality of Daucus carota Seedings Silage

    This study was conducted to investigate the effect of different packaging density on the quality, nutrient content and ammonia nitrogen content of Daucus carota seedings fermented silage. The Daucus carota seedings were packaged to ferment with high density (486.0 kg/m3), moderated density (428.4 kg/m3) and low density (300.3 kg/m3), respectively. After 330 d fermentation, the samples were collected and tested. While pH value and ammonia nitrogen content of Daucus carota seedings silage fermented with low packaging density were significantly lower than those of silage fermented with high packaging density (P〈0.05), the crude protein content of silage fermented with low packaging density was higher than that of silage fermented with high and moderate packaging density. Based on the of comprehensive evaluation of fermentation quality, nutrient content and ammonia nitrogen content, the 300.3 kg/m3 was recommended as preferred packaging density of Daucus carota seedings fermented silage.

    Vitamin A (VA) was fat-soluble and was necessary for the maintaining of normal life activity. It plays an important role in maintaining normal visual function and growth and differentiation of epithelial tissues. While VA can improve the immunity function, inhibit the growth of tumor and improve anemia, excess VA is harmful to body. The metabolism characteristics of VA and its physiological actions were introduced in this paper, so as to provide reference for the rational use of VA.

    The international and domestic research progress on forage transformation and integrated utilization of potato stem were reviewed and the industrialization situation of potato stem utilization in Inner Mongolia was introduced. The technical route of potato stem comprehensive utilization of 'silage+mixed crude extract', which was suitable for employment in semi-rurai and semi-pastoral areas of Inner Mongolia, was proposed in this paper. Furthermore, the comprehensive transformation and utilization industry of potato stem with high additional value in Inner Mongolia is prospected, so as to provide theoretical basis for the development of extraction and processing technology of potato stem bioactive substance with high additional value.

    MOOC realizes the large-scale and globalization of teaching resources in high level university and expands the knowledge chain of traditional higher education. The MOOC has a mode of immediate online test assisted by small video to carry out relevant course teaching, and its templated courses structure is easy for engineering replication. Thus, it can be predicted that MOOC will bring a qualitative change of the overall educational level and teaching mode to the local application-oriented universities. Taken Anhui Science and Technology University as an example, we discussed the feasibility, advantages and disadvantages of MOOC teaching in local application-oriented undergraduate universities.

    In order to cultivate the veterinary medicine professional master with innovative spirit, skilled technology and strong practical ability and to promote the combination of veterinary medicine professional master education and social economy, the cultivation model of 'collaboration among firms, universities and research institutes' of veterinary medicine professional master was established in Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University based on the graduates teaching and research reform project supported by Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education and planning topic of educational science of Heilongjiang Province. In the mode, the college served as core, and the master education platform was jointly established by corporation with firms and research institutes with strong ability of research and development. Based on the combined and joint running of the platform, the complementary advantages and resource sharing among universities, research institutes and enterprise groups will be implemented, and the innovative mode and mechanism of veterinary medicine professional master cultivation and scientific development will be formed by the collaboration. The outstanding effect of veterinary profession master cultivation was achieved by the established mode.

    Clinical Effect of a Commercial Peptide Additive Baibeitai on Weaned Piglets Diarrhea

    Diarrhea is a common disease of weaned piglets which poses a great threat to the development of pig industry. The prevention and treatment experiments were conducted to evaluate the clinical effect of a commercial peptide additive Baibeitai on diarrhea of 4-week-old weaned piglets. In prevention experiment, the prevention rate of group Ⅰ, group Ⅱ, group Ⅲ (Baibeitai peptide additive) and group Ⅳ (antimicrobial agents) were 95.0%, 97.5%, 92.5% and 88.5%, respectively. In treatment experiment, the cure rate of group Ⅰ, group Ⅱ, group Ⅲ (Baibeitai peptide additive) and group Ⅳ (antimicrobial agents) were 91.7%, 86.6%, 81.2% and 76.5%. The clinical effect of Baibeitai peptide additive on weaned piglets diarrhea was proved to be superior to that of antimicrobial agents, and the peptide additive had a positive influence on feed intake and ratio of feed to gain of weaned piglet.
