Abstract: In recent years, the information and computing science education has a rapid development. Here, we analyze the problems existing in practical talents training in the major of information and computing science in colleges and universities under the background of ＂innovation and pioneering＂, including the talent training target is not clear, teaching methods and means are backward, and construction of teaching staff lags, and discuss the appropriate approach of the talents training for this major. We also carry out the studies on practical talents training mode construction, promote the reform on teaching methods and means, and perform the supporting work on practical talents training, so as to improve the cultivation quality of practical talents training in the major of information and computing science and to provide references for the cultivation of talents who are able to adapt to the social demand.
