Teaching Reform of Freshwater Aquaculture Course for Animal Science Major

Abstract: Freshwater Aquaculture is a professional course of animal science specialty;its theory and practice are very strong, and it is of great significance for the development of Xinjiang fishery and the expansion of job field. Closely around the characteristics of animal science and the characteristics of Xinjiang fisheries, teaching contents were optimized through the strengthenment on the weak links of students and the urgently needed technology of Xinjiang fishery development. The multimedia teaching, combining with traditional teaching and students teaching, was used to update teaching methods, so the quantity of teaching dynamic information was expanded, and the student′s perceptual knowledge and interest in learning were improved. The practical teaching was strengthened through the construction of aquaculture practice teaching base and the implementation of related research projects and university students′ innovative projects, the learning interest and initiative were stimulated, and the students′practical ability was enhanced.
