Abstract: The development of modern animal husbandry in China also put forward great challenge for applied animal husbandry technology talents cultured by agricultural universities. Based on practical teaching conditions of animal production course in agricultural universities, problems in the teaching process of animal production course were analyzed in four aspects of teaching content, teaching method, practice and evaluation mode, and improvement countermeasures were put forward.
