Discussion on Teaching Reform and Practice of the Courses in Biological Specialties under the New Situation

Abstract: Biological specialties include the disciplines of biological science,bioengineering,biotechnology,and so on,which cover massive contents and a wide range of knowledge. There are some common features of these specialties,such as the span between the knowledge of different disciplines is relatively large,the technology of the disciplines updates rapidly,and the practicality of the specialties is relatively strong. Under the new situation,the simple teaching method can no longer meet the requirement of biological specialties teaching. The application of multiple teaching methods and ways by teachers should be encouraged to cultivate the creative thinking and comprehensive qualities of undergraduates and to improve the comprehensive qualities of teachers as well as the competitiveness of undergraduates.
