Abstract: Under the background that the national Licensed Veterinarians Management Rule and pet doctor qualifications approval test are promulgated and implemented, in order to adapt to the national education reform, industry development, and licensed development requirement for talents of veterinary medicine major, it is necessary to carry out the reform on talent cultivation model of the small animal medicine major. In Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, a series of reforms on teaching contents and methods in small animal medicine major are performed. It is demonstrated that the teaching quality as well as the comprehensive quality and practical ability in clinic of the undergraduates in small animal medicine major are improved.
