  • Current Situation of Conservation Tillage Technology Development in Inner Mongolia and Issues on Some Related Problems

    In the past ten years, some significant economic, social and ecological benefits are made with conservation tillage in Inner Mongolia. Principle and application of some technologies on conservation tillage are systematically described in the paper, for instance, stubble cover, non-minimum tillage planting, integrated weed control, mechanical subsoiling, scarification and compensatory seeding of pasture, and etc. Four kinds of technological patterns are set up, including high stalk with dibble seeding, low stalk with drill, roots with tubers and grassland improvement. Some outstanding problems on programming, complements of agricultural technology, appropriability and reliability of equipments and weeds control. On the bases of long- term research, rules and characteristics of weeds on conservation tillage are summarized. Besides, weeds control is clearly identified as keystone and difficulty in farming-pastoral areas with conservation tillage, which includes the adjusting on trends, modes and means of integrated weeds control and the establishing of a comprehensive thinking on weeds control.

    Maize is the second-largest food crop in China, China is the world's second-largest corn producer and consumer countries, Corn is not only food crops, feed, but also cash crops.Consumption of maize was only a rigid growth, the planting area and yield had been increasing year by year. The low enrollment rate and high dropout rate of girls' education in the rural area will fail them to secure better social roles in the future and they may even have no adequate accesses to the fruits of social development.     Study on 11 main characters of 10 barly cuhive was conducted with multiple statistics analysis.The results indicated that some the coefficient of variation was more than others in ears per mu,,ear length,and number of spike per plant ,the coefficient of variation were 23.81%,19.83%and 18.6% o while coefficient of variation of stages was 2,52%;some correlation were found that it was significant correlation between yield and stages and grain weight per plant. We found that cumulative was 83.43% among the 3 Principal components by principal components analysis, those correlation of characters showed "a result of multi-effect" and "multi-effect in heritability of quantitative trail,we should take into account the stages and grain weight per plant,simuhaneit, plant hight , ear length, main grains per spike should be seletion, for breeding objective of high yield and good quality .

    Single factor randomized block design was used in order to study chemical control effect of S-metolachlor 96% EC on annual weeds in sunflower fields. 100-130ml/667m^2 of S-metolachlor 96% EC were applied to soil surface post-sowing and pre-emerge with 100ml/667m2 Acetochlor 50% EC was control, the results showed that 'after 45days, the control effect of S- metolaehlor 96% EC with 100-130ml/667m^2 on ammal weeds were from 75.1 to 84.9 percent, and the effect of S-metolachlor 96% EC with 130ml/667m^2 was higher than control. This treat was safety to the growth of sunflower.

    Rare-earth multi-fertilizer is a kind of new style fertilizer.It was studied and made in BaoTou Agricultural Institute.It can dissolve in water quickly.It made of macro-clement,micro-element and rare-earth element,even though rave-earth isn't fertilizer, it can stimulate plant to absorb fertilizer.Based on above mentioned and in order to proved the applied effect of the fertilizer on vegetable.A compared experiment had been done before the year 2008.With the fertilizer,compared with the other three fertilizers on cabbage,resuh showed: the yield of cabbage is evidently higher than the other three fertilizers.And in 2008, another compare experiment had been done on this fertilizer,and compared with the other three fertilizers on cucumber.Resuh showed:the yield of cucumber increased 38.2% than ck,increased 5.83% than multi-fertilizer, increased 22.15% than common practice fertilizer, increased 23.5% than LaiyiTong.The fertilizer can promote cucumber's plant height, stem diameter and leaf number.In plant height,increased 32.6% than CK; In stem diameter, increased 23.0% than ck.Analyzed it's economic benefit, yield/investment of rare-earth multi-fertilizer is 5.39,muhi-fertilizer is 4.49,common practice fertilizer is 2.41 ,LaiyiTong is 1.45. Result indicated:The economic benefit of rare-earth multi-fertilizer and multi-fertilizer are better than the other fertilizers too. This result is of applicable and referencing value for guiding farmer to utilize fertilizer.
    Effect of NO3^-/NH4^+ Ratio on Cadmium Content and Physiological Index in Chinese Cabbage under Cadmium Stress

    The purpose was to discuss the effect of different NO3^-/NH4^+ ratio (10:0,7:3,5:5,3:7,0:10) on Cadmium content and physiological indexes of plant under Cadmium stress. [Method]With Chinese white cabbage as tested material, effect of NO3^-/ NH4^+ ratio on the growth, Cadmium content and contents of total nitrogen, total carbon under Cadmium stress (1 mg/L) were studied on the basis of Hoagland nutrition. Under Cd stress( 1 mg/L), hight of plant was the highest at a 5:5 ratio,and lower than the control;Above-and belowground biomass arrived at peak value at a 7:3 ratio,but root/shoot ratio was not significant difference among treatments.Pn and Te showed a trend of increasing firstly and reducing again with increasing of NH4^+ eoncentration, and there was the highest at NO3^-/NH4^+ ratio of 7:3,while the changing pattern in Ci was contrary to Pn. With increasing of NH4^+ concentration,content of total carbon aboveground elevated, and contents of total carbon belowground in each treatment were higher than that of the control.Contents of total nitrogen aboveground reduced with increasing of NH4^+ coneentration,and contents of total nitrogen in each treatment were lower than that of the control.Content of Cd aboveground has a trend of increasing with adding of NH4^+coneentration,and there was the lowest content at NO3^-/ NH4^+ ratio of 7:3,but content of Cd belowgroun was higher than that aboveground.Shoot of Chinese white Cabbage had less absorbed to Cd at NO3^-/NH4^+ ratio of 7:3 under Cadmium Stress(1mg/L);Shoot of Chinese white Cabbage absorbed more Cadmium at more NH4^+ concentrations.

    The paper is about magnetic stabilized fluidized bed reactor (MSFB) used in the treatment of sulphate-containing waste water. The acclimated sulphate reducing bacteria (SRB) group was put in sulphate reducing bacteria (anMSFB) filled with magnetic porous polystyrene microbeads (MPB). The start-up of the system was operated using immersing - carriers- to- form- biofilm method. Then, the simulated waste water was flowed in to reach the stabilized loading operation. The optical microscopy and the scanning electron microscopy were used to investigate the biomass and biofilm formation in anMSFB. The effects of temperature and pH on the removal efficiency of SO4^2- were studied, and the SO4^2- degradation kinetics equation of anMSFB was determined. The bed height of MPB in anMSFB was deduced out theoretically according to the certain influent waste water concentration and desulphurization efficiency.The study has laid a foundation for MSFB with immobilized microorganism applied in the treatment of sulphate-containing waste water.

    The paper Based on the 1959 to 2008 data of precipitation in Huhhot,used Precipitation anomaly percentage and linear analysis methods to analyze trends in drought Hohhot, found that the following characteristics:(1) precipitation variability rate is high,drought frequency as high as 44.3%,periodic droughts occur every year. month, season, years of drought frequency in the central urban area and Tuzuoqi is higher than other regions. (2) Winter is the highest frequency of droughts in the season, Spring is in the second.(3) Inter-annual variation in drought, Intensity of the mid-60s before the drought, the largest,since the mid-90s urban areas,Tuzuoqi ,Wuchuan ,and Helin county frequent fluctuations in rainfall, there is a continuous emergence of dry years,but its strength weaker than the 60's.

    The variety resources of edible sunflower are rich and the ecotype is multiplicity in Mid-eastern Inner Mongolia. There is an obvious law in geographical distribution. From southeast to northwest, the temperature decreases as the altitude goes up; early maturing variety and medium variety is more and late variety is less, average growth period was shortened and leaf number reduced, there are also some changes in plant height and marketability is different. On the basis of analysis on ecotype and distribution law of edible sunflower of Mid-eastern Inner Mongolia, the author study on the genetic improvement and breeding new variety.

    The occurrence, field symptom and control of main diseases and pests on sunflower in Inner Mongolia were studied, the results showed that there were 6 main diseases existed in sunflower,which were sunflower sclertiniose,verticillium wilt of sunflower,sunflower leaf blight,sunflower ahernaria leaf spot,sunflower brown spot and sunflower broom rape,3 main peset of sunflower,which were sunflower moth(Homeosoman nebulella),meadow moth(Loxostege sticticalis) and double-spotted leaf beetle (Monolepta hieroglyphica).Based on these diseases and pests,some suggestions for future research were put forward,which include carrying out survey of diseases and pest in sunflower, systematic studying main diseases and pest,deeply research pesticide applying technology,strengthening local varieties application research and variety quarantine.
